Plan B

B as in Brewer

The weather threatened this show with disaster early in the week and up until about 24hrs before, the threat was real.

Bangor was a $15.00 entry fee for a chance to win a store bought $ 25.00 Cheap Ass Trophy. In Brewer you paid 5 bucks and got a recycled trophy for 2nd and 3rd but someting crafted from used auto parts for 1st. These were designed by the Boy Scouts themselves and put together with supervision.

Usually a show that has a Plan B calls it a rain date. Hodgman's used a change of venue a couple of times when the field got swampy. But to move a Show Indoors at the last minute takes good people and big brass balls.

Brewer ran out of room last year and decided to look for a larger venue. Other shows have tried this and never been the same. Snap Solutions should be commended for providing a very large parking lot (I'm talking Maine Mall Large) for the Scouts of Troop 15. Snap Solutions Needs to be Given a Fucking Medal for moving all their equipment around a warehouse to provide space to move the show indoors.

A building that could hold 300 cars easily was used even though the weather cleared out hours before start time. Why Not? It was offered and was fantastic.

Regardless of who was there or who poached a trophy or block voted or was cheated out of an award, eveybody loved it.

My vote for best use of a provided venue and possibly best show period.
