As I sat drinking my morning coffee and looking out upon a gray sky it came to me that the day was young and it was going to get better. For the first time in about a decade my meteorological skills were right on the money.

As most of you know the weather was damn near perfect. Warm in the sun, cool in the shade we had it made. Until the US Marines showed up then it rain toys and filled a van, then it rained more later and filled a trailer.

I was surprised and pleased to see some new faces coming to the event. Seeing the lot filled to the brim and then some, was all the more reason to attend. Some old faces were missed but I know the reason for some and its OK.

With a hip hip hooray for Stan and Cheryl it showed the "scene" what we can do when asked.

Toys for Tots 2012, another great day for another great cause.
