So Sunday was wet, as you know. Monday was just plain gorgeous and Oxford was just plain great. The Uptown Kruizah's have hit it on the head with a very large hammer and now have a Cruise Night to show up at, on a regular basis. Great Food Great People and the New location is the cat's ass for sure.
Then Tuesday shows up and does the same as Monday with the CHOP crew out in Force and election results in La La land. Mother Nature made a Statement with a wet dream at 40mph that dampened the cars but not the spirits. and things continued on well after the appointed hour of termination and we really didn't care.
Hump Day was the Creme de la Creme of events with the once a year Gearhead Gathering in Monmouth with well over 150 cars and trucks of every genre being at ease within the confines of the area. But let me tell you, get them outside the confines and it was let it rip with enthusiasm and joy in your heart. The local Constable was kept busy being a prick and we were busy being ourselves.
Today was another wet crap day but the event I tried to get going on a drenched Sunday went off on a Damp Wednesday and more fun with good people. When the determining factor is attitude the weather just doesn't matter.
Friday promises to be a better day weather wise. A new Cruise Night in New Auburn Promises to be a rerun of Tuesday nights at Roy's with the Dancing Dipstick and his ever charming partner the Aflac Duck, but I digress. Friday will be another fun Cruise no matter the entertainment factor or comedic relief .
Saturday is a down time day as the Pontiac has yet to be cleaned from the Rain of Sunday, Tuesday or today. Winterport will have to wait and Bridgton is Sunday. To those that plan on attending the Kohl's Show have fun and tell them their classes are not quite right. Besides I had a great time last year at Shawnee Peak and plan on making it a good day this year.
