Another Show That Was

So there I was at Andover when suddenly a great day broke out. The Western Maine Street Rodders again pulled out a great show. But like all things we have begun to see the dark side in all things and this had a spot, not side. Great Show, 200+ cars and a douche bag.

The person doing the imitation of a 40's Car with a 60's Car is a local hero, who has the charm of a used Condom and the personality of a plank. This guy thinks he is gods gift to something and we just think he is Something.

Other than that it was a great day

Tomorrow, Oxford rain or shine

It's supposed to be sunny

This next portion added at 10:50PM

From the Comments I'm getting, everybody had a good day, because we all had Fun and it doesn't really matter what I say or think as long as we had fun. A badly run show only takes away as much fun as you allow it to.

Tomorrow is a fairly new club with a brand new show and a few veterans thrown in for good measure. As long as its fun everybody will be fine.

Tough act to follow - hope we can do them justice. these folks always make us feel more than welcome and today was no exception. Had a great time. Had an exceptional piece of their real estate and enjoyed every minute of it!! Poo Poo on the 60 in the 40's he/she should have known better. Great seeing everyone again!!

  2. Agreed- That had to be the ultimate piece of trophy poaching I've seen (and believe me, I've seen alot!) Someone ought to do a "best of the best" trophy poacher! This riviera would be at or near the top of the heap! I also heard about the "Lets switch ballots" bandit again- although the person approached was a woman whose name I didn't catch, and she did not know the douchebag in question.
Besides the normal douchebaggery displayed by the merry band of poachers, Western Maine Streetrods put on one hell of a show. Beautiful country up that way, too. Next year I will definatly bring my Caddy (I regretted that decision!)
Another word of props to WMSR: on the way back, The Crosley from the modified 50's class was broke down on the side of Rt.5. I pulled over to offer what litte assistance I could offer (a set of 4-ways behind his car to slow down traffic) while he attempted to fix it. A group from WMSR stopped to help and one actually went to his home 5 miles away, got his truck/trailer and offered to bring the guy home-in NORWAY! Its these things that remind me why I stick around this hobby- yeah, you got some scumbags, but most of us look out for each other, and thats pretty cool. Props to WMSR! See y'all in Oxford tomorrow.
