Will the Last One to Leave Please Turn Off the Lights

March 22, 2015
Members and Friends of the Rusty Nut Car Club.
AFTER 14 YEARS THE MEMBERS OF THE RUSTY NUT CAR CLUB HAS DECIDED TO DISBAND.

During the month of March we had two meetings to decide the future of our club.  This would be my fifth year as Club President and there is no one in our club interested in taken this position.  We also have a need for Treasurer and no member was interested in doing this position. We have had for the past three years trouble getting these positions filled.  We have had new members join but expressed no interest being an officer of the club.

We have over 20 club members and they all agree it is time to disband the Club.  Two years ago I could see this may be an issue and started to have joint meetings with the Knucklebuster Club.  David Barrett President and Secretary Deb Desjardins of the Knucklebusters have been very supportive of our Club and they have done a great job with the Togus event.  I have recommended to our members if they want to join another car club, consider the Knucklebusters.

We still will have the Togus Event with the Knucklebusters and other groups working on this event like the previous years.  Members of the RNCC will continue to be a part of this event.
The Cruise-In at Topsham will still happen and will be a Knucklebuster event but will have RNCC members continue to work at this show.  The 50/50 will still happen and the money will go the Togus event like the  previous events.

The members decided to give the money left in the treasury to three groups.  Money will be given to the Knucklebuster for the upcoming Togus Event.  The other money will be given to Sweetser for their children’s Christmas event.  We have been given to Sweetser for many years.  The remaining money will be given to the Travis Mills Cruise-in event this year.

The Knucklebusters Club has offered a one year free membership to any RNCC member wishing to join their club. An application is attached.

Maybe someone will bring the club back and if so, I will have all the RNCC information.

A special THANK YOU  for those of you who have supported the RNCC events.

Lee Patenaude
RNCC  President
