Discussion

Yesterday was damn near perfect, with great weather, good cars nice cruise and a BBQ. We at one point were worried about the turnout but that was a none factor upon arrival. Thanks to Tim and Sue Wallace for being great hosts as usual.

During the day, a discussion Broke out about the different takes on the Pathways Vineyard Church Show and how a group of participants feel they were cheated from getting a trophy.

This stems from the fact that the posted cut-off time was extended and not adhered to, as was written on the flier. True enough. Also brought up was the fact that some if not all of these cars were given awards. True enough.

What wasn't mentioned is the fact that the miss-classed vehicles, some of which did get there on time, were also awarded trophies or that gaps in parking in certain classes were done on purpose to keep the over preened egos of the participants from spilling over into ground water causing an EPA alert.

The Fact is that Vineyard is running the show and can make any changes they wish as they have in years past with classes being added in the last minute etc. As these cars were allowed to register after the posted cut-off time should they have been denied to be fairly judged by the same people who judged the rest of that class or should it have been stated that we will take your money and give you nothing in return, not even a fair shake.
