Looking forward to something for to long is sometimes a let down. Having looked forward to the 9th Annual Cruisin to Graduation Car Show at Medomak Valley High School for over a month was not a let down, it was just plain amazing.
Over 400 Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles and several odd conveyances of humanity were assembled in one place for several hours to celebrate the upcoming 2010 Car Show season. Medomak busted out big time and held their best show ever.
The gate was run with an iron fist, which more shows should make note of. The veteran car show goers that were chosen should get a pat on the back just for taking no shit from anybody. This was proven when a Patron who was told he would be in Mopars decided he would change to the 60's class found his number stricken from his card, the show records and let everybody know, a card was placed on his car to tell everyone not to vote for it.
A few surprises and some disappointments were on par with any car show that uses the participant vote system. All in all the Seniors and parents that put on this show can be proud of their accomplishments and should carry this on to the 10th year of Cruisin to Graduation.
I don't know who ordered the weather and the wonderful day that followed but that didn't hurt the great time that was had by all.

All I can say is that WE WERE THERE AND WE THANK YOU!!! Couldn't find any fault. Met some new folks and had good conversations. Hugged some old friends [some several times :-)]Gosh missed you all over the winter! Thanks again to the crew who helped make this show a REAL SEASON STARTER! See you all out and about and congrats to this year's seniors and their families.
ReplyDeleteHi Frank, We had a great time today It was really nice to see old friends and make new ones. Our host did a great job. So well organized and fun. I was wondering what they where doing moving the car into the 60's when they where a mopar. Serves them right. Lobster rolls where the best. See ya soon! Jim & Connie
