As a final note on the Togus Run this year, I would like to thank the Rusty Nuts for doing an excellent job on a little reorganizing for the better. Good Job all around from parking to the food lines, all was very well done.
Also all those that followed me up from Lewiston and followed me back. Thank you for being a great crew to lead and allowing me to lead you on a great day to a great event.
Now to all those that missed it this year and last year or can't be bothered to go. What the hell is your problem. This is the best possible way that we, as car people, can show our support of a car club that goes the extra mile to support our veterans. Its the least we can do as citizens of this country to say thank you to those that have served their country and are now stuck in a hospital probably for the rest of their lives.
Many people that had never been and were persuaded to go now have had an eye opening experience that will not be soon forgetten. They have also been back every year since the first time and already are getting up a larger crowd for the next Run.
The meal was free unless you made a donation, money would not be an excuse. The grounds are very well kept and super clean, perfect for any family event. Children could use a little life lesson or a civics class on the way we treat the people who served their country.
If you didn't go because you couldn't be bothered or some other lame assed excuse maybe you need a wake up call and realize that your freedom had to be paid for by someone.
No excuse.
None.
