Well for a dark and dreary day with heavy mist, light rain and rampant reports of improper judging from last year hanging over its head Belgrade's Firemen did a fine job anyway even with a low turnout. The reason for the Low turnout was probably the weather and Gorham yesterday. From the conversations I had with several people of interest, they really didn't give a crap what went on last year.
The judges were observed using a point system in their endeavor to be fair and impartial and proved that they were up to the task.
Many of their picks were very good ones with a few surprises, throwing a few perennial winners for a loop. With this it also gave a chance for other awesome vehicles to attain winners status for once.
Only complaint I saw was the Guys at the Gate, they asked what class you wanted rather than tell you what class you were in. The Special Interest Class as usual only had about 1 or 2 cars that belonged there.
With very little tweaking this show could and in all probability will continue. And well it should, as it is only in its 3rd year and seems to take constructive criticism better than heavy handed opinions and heated debates.
To Scott and all the Firemen, Well Done.
