Oh yes, I read his entry on why he won't promote this that or the other, because of bigotry and prejudice, tears from his daughter and unfairness Blah Blah Blah. Yet doesn't he display the same prejudice and bigotry by not promoting the show in a fair manner.
How many of us have been overlooked for an award or trophy because we are who we are or we are from some distant locale? How many shows do we go to that mostly locals win at? I remember a show years ago in Dixfield when I got beat by some car that smelled of goat and looked like shit and yes the owner was a local.
I still go to shows, I wasn't traumatized by it. Pissed yes, Traumatized no.
As far as making someone cry, not the best thing to do but, she needs to grow up. Life sucks and you need to get used to it. It probably would raise my ire, but in all likelihood would raise my Irish and then firearms would come into play. Any day is a good day for fully loaded firearms and slow moving targets.
He seems to be avoiding certain aspects of the Car Show Scene as many more people realize he's full of shit. Or if you can imagine this image, a dog chasing its tail, first in one direction, then another.
Much like the constant contradictions of his opinions.
I'm not saying that the drivel I write is any better or my opinion any less 1 sided but at least I admit it.

Shriner's vs Ossipee
Shriner's is in Turner, Ossipee Valley is ?. So the reason I want not to support the Shriner's is what, Fair Food. Had that last week. Distance is a non-factor as I went to Milo, didn't flinch. Went to Bath then on to Bar Harbor for the remainder, not a twitch.
Anybody who would not support the Shriner's and the Crippled Children's Hospital or the Burn Centers and the hundreds of people they have helped should be Tarred and Feathered and ridden out of town on a rail. Besides Fair Food can give you the shits.
Now that that has been said. Lets tear up some more turf and let fly with more sod.
What is going on with the "Best of the Best" Cheap Ass Trophies that what's his name is doing. Anybody remind him that he hasn't been to a show in like forever. Like it really bothers me that I have been left to fend for myself, without his tired excuses and finger pointing. Or maybe he thinks the rain might warp his home made Surf Board. If he were smart he could of made a fortune in renting it out at some of the shows. More Poly here please.

As you can see there is no paid advertisements for this blog. I do this as a public service to those that have been blinded by the supreme being and really need a reality check. All done free of charge because I like you.
Now as I walk out in the rain for the last time today, I realize that I enjoy doing this and I am glad I'm able too.

Bath
Front Street in Bath is a typical small Downtown area in a Typical Small Coastal town. Only on the 5th it was closed to nothing but a great cross section of show cars and trucks. With a name like "The Front Street Shuffle" how could they miss.
It had all the great things that would make your day. Fair Food that was almost exceptional, great weather, Smokey's Greater Shows and all it slimey glory and did I say Fair Food. Front Street itself provides some great shops and eats as well.
Those that missed it did just that, missed it.
Maybe you should work on that for next year.

Star Spangled
Here it the 3rd of July and my backyard is a swamp. My front yard has water buffalo doing things in the mud that only god should see. Muskrats are looking over the deck as a new home and a duck is looking at the dog with lust in its eyes. Other than that the pontoons are almost ready to install on the Car.
The 4th is a day away and everybody seems content to sit back eat their fill of "Brats" and drink their fill of beer and belch. But when did we decide that was all the 4th was, with a flourish of explosive escapades at the end of the day. When did discontinuing the practice of telling all, that in 1776 a group of malcontents and non-conformists signed their own death sentence for the greater good of the American People.
Are we not the same as these men and women were. Are we not the non-conformists that thumb their respective noses at those that would have us drive the corporate logo of their choosing. Are we not of the same ilk as those that cursed the King and in return were hunted down and done away with.
We the People are the Car Buffs. We are the Best of the Best. We are the true believers in the rights set forth by the founding Fathers and We are willing to get up and say to those that would hinder our pursuit of happiness, Fuck Off.
We are what we are and it is our true belief that driving our cars is a form of freedom few shall ever know. I Am proud of who I am and I am proud to know all that read this, are the True Believers. For We only go this way once and I prefer to do it sideways at full throttle.

Is It A Problem?
I am going to put a question to you, something I haven't really done. Its subject is car shows and it pertains to entery fees.
A slight rumble of dissent has been heard from several areas of the state. Enthusiasts are begining to complain that they are being charged to enter a car show and yet the spectators are allowed to enter for free. Hodgman's could be a good example, but this is done at the request of the Hodgman's to allow the show to draw more customers to the Frozen Custard Stand and they donate a very healthy sum at the end of the day to the Knucklebusters.
Is this just a small group of dissenters or are their others that are not speaking up? I know that many times I will ask what the money is going towards if it is not stated in the advertisement for the show.
Is this just a sign of the Economy, giving free admission in hopes of ramping up your food or craft sales as the profit margin is a little bigger? Are these economic times that tough that a $3.00 entry fee will keep a spectator from buying a burned $2.00 hamburger or a nasty ass road kill hot dog?
Here's the Question to answer.
